At our Swallowfield headquarters near Reading in Berkshire, product development is undertaken using Computer Aided Design techniques. This is supported by an extensive test facility where customers can select the right machine for their mix under controlled conditions. Similarly, equipment can be tailor-made to a customer’s specification or modified to meet a special need.
Mixers suitable for the food industry are designed with the strictest Health and Safety requirements in mind. Heated jackets are available for mixing/drying applications and vacuum models can be offered for de-aeration purposes.
Most items can be incorporated into complete production plants for batch or continuous operation or mounted on load cells for ingredient weighing.
All Winkworth mixers are British built at our Swallowfield site, employing a Computerised Manufacturing Management System and stringent quality control. Customers in 150 countries are served from here and through our network of overseas agents.
All new Winkworth mixers can be manufactured to suit any ATEX requirements; all new Winkworth mixers include CE Markings; and are manufactured in accordance with our ISO9001 accreditation.
Winkworth’s reputation for engineering skills is reflected in a further department dedicated to refurbishing used equipment to a high standard. This service extends from mixers and blenders to processing vessels, dryers, granulators, pumps, filters and related plant.
